BMA for the first time attended the annual International Sugar Forum, which took place this year on the grounds of the all-Russia exhibition centre in Moscow between 25 and 27 February 2009. Now, in its 8th year, the forum has certainly established itself.
With companies exhibiting their products and with conferences on sugar technology and sugar beet production issues, the forum once again proved to be a stimulating venue for sugar producers and companies whose products can contribute to the development of the sugar sector.
The strong presence of German and French exhibitors is seen as a clear sign of the growing international interest in this forum. With 23 exhibiting companies, Germany this year outnumbered all other countries.
To highlight the capability of cooperating German partners as suppliers to the international sugar industry, the companies SIEMENS, PUTSCH, EBERHARDT and BMA had organised a joint stand for which they had chosen the slogan "Sugar Factory Projects". With this concept each exhibitor had the opportunity to present its own specific product portfolio, while the companies together could demonstrate their combined strength in the implementation of major projects.
During the many discussions we had with customers, scientists and other potential cooperation partners at this year's sugar forum we received valuable inspiration for future activities.
All participants at the sugar forum received diplomas and medals and, of course, also an invitation to the next forum in 2010.
