BMA Automation continues to be working to capacity at the beginning of the new year. Several switchgear systems were delivered to the automobile industry in January 2011, in addition to orders processed for cheese treatment plants and control systems for sugar centrifugals.
The Engineering department has proceeded with the refinement of centrifugal control systems. After a very good year for sugar centrifugals in 2010 (more than 140 new machines), the experience gained in practice should now be translated into a new release. However, the time for further improvement is limited because new orders have already been booked for switchgear systems for some 70 sugar centrifugals that are due to be delivered in 2011.
Attention has to be increasingly directed at modernising drive and control systems. Improved centrifugal safety and reliability, in addition to higher capacities thanks to modern and powerful drives, are important aspects for all sugar factories.
