Review: annual meeting of BMA service technicians from around the globe

In May 2014, centrifugal service technicians from China, Russia, South America, Tunisia and Germany met at BMA in Braunschweig. It was an opportunity for the international teams to enhance their expertise and share experiences with colleagues from Braunschweig, discussing transnational solutions for electrical drive and control technology.

BMA is an internationally active group of companies. Our key principles in finding solutions that meet ever-higher standards for efficient drive and control technology are innovation, passion and commitment. That also includes continual staff training. Thanks to the constant exchange between our international centrifugal service technicians, we are able to meet the high standards in quality and service that our customers around the globe have come to expect from us.

This year's annual meeting of BMA service technicians was an opportunity for all to update and enhance their technical knowledge. The main topic of the training courses was the commissioning of frequency converters. The courses were delivered in the form of a tailor-made application training, with a particular focus on frequency converters manufactured by ABB and Siemens.

The international participants gained further knowledge during a guided tour of BMA Automation and a closer look at the switchgear systems in the BMA workshops. Part of the hands-on training courses was held at the sugar factories of Nordzucker AG at Uelzen and Nordstemmen. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Nordzucker AG for their valued and effective support!

The courses were followed by animated discussions on the Alte Schmiede BMA premises, between the international service technicians and their Braunschweig-based colleagues.

A joint visit to the Autostadt in Wolfsburg followed by a dinner rounded off the event beautifully – and gave everybody the opportunity to get to know each other better.
