BMA introduces molasses-massecuite mingler in Asia

No need for water-intensive preheating system

A first: since the start of the year, a molasses-massecuite mingler (MMM) from BMA has been in operation in a sugar factory in the Philippines. It replaces the traditional preheating system, resulting in considerable efficiency gains and cost savings – an approach that offers great potential for sugar production across Asia.

MMM from BMA for the Philippines

Starting this year, a molasses-massecuite mingler (MMM) from BMA has been in operation in a sugar factory in the Philippines. It makes the molasses less viscous during production, permitting more accurate mixing with the massecuite. This results in a product of consistently high quality that matches the specifications precisely.

No preheating: efficiency gains for the sugar factory

With the MMM from BMA, the sugar factory no longer needs the traditional water-intensive preheating system. Unlike older systems, which consume plenty of water to heat the molasses, the equipment from BMA requires no additional external heat input and is thus far more efficient in operation.

Energy-saving equipment

The sugar factory has benefited significantly from the introduction of the MMM from BMA. Molasses and massecuite can be mixed directly, without the use of external heat sources, making the mixing process more efficient and achieving considerable energy savings.

Higher sugar yield, lower maintenance

Another benefit is the improved handling of the massecuite in the centrifugal. This makes for a higher sugar yield and an optimised production process. And the molasses-massecuite mingler has another crucial asset: it needs no water cooling system for operation and therefore no water pipes, making maintenance much easier.

Considerable cost savings thanks to the MMM from BMA

The sugar factory opted for the MMM from BMA after its traditional preheating system had failed. An excellent choice in financial terms! Firstly, the investment costs for the new equipment are much lower than they would be for a traditional system. A second gain for the sugar factory is the MMM’s remarkably long service life. Additional financial benefits of the switch to BMA equipment are the low operating and maintenance costs.

Molasses-massecuite mingler: guaranteed success for sugar factories around the globe

The MMM from BMA is in operation in many sugar factories around the globe. Its latest success in the Philippines has now opened doors in Asia, too, and sends a clear message to the industry. A number of promising discussions with other factories in the region are already underway.
