Just in time for the imminent launch of the new K3080 in early May, first-year BMA apprentices have completed a matching miniature centrifugal. Over the next few months, this will be used for demonstrations at trade fairs and exhibitions. As a particular highlight, the model also produces candy floss.

At the HANNOVER MESSE industrial trade fair yesterday, Braunschweig-based plant engineering experts for the sugar industry BMA were announced as winner of the Lower Saxony Foreign Trade Award. Olaf Lies, Minister for Economics, Labour and Transport in the state of Lower Saxony, extended congratulations to BMA’s CTO Uwe Schwanke.

Meet the new addition to our product range of continuous centrifugals, the extremely compact K3080. It has excellent DNA: with more than 500 machines commissioned since 2010, the K3 series has been setting new standards in centrifugal design.

Next Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., BMA will be one of 60+ regional employers to present this year’s opportunities for apprentices at the apprenticeship fair organised by IHK Braunschweig.

At the end of February 2017, the Enterprise 2.0/Digital Transformation working group of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) met at the BMA offices in Braunschweig. Representatives from 11 German companies had come to share information and experiences, and to take away new ideas for approaches to the topic.

BMA machinery and plants are known around the globe for their long service life and high availability. Nevertheless, preventive maintenance and repairs are still necessary. Which is where the After-Sales teams from BMA come in. This week, service technicians from six countries gathered in Braunschweig for their annual knowledge sharing and training event.

Saving the best till last: as 2016 came to a close, BMA received the order to supply their 500th K3300 centrifugal. Installations of the current generation of continuous BMA centrifugals in more than 160 sugar factories across the globe place it among the most popular products to date built by the plant engineers from Braunschweig.
